4. The Deathly Hallows Par. 1's 3D Release Was Cancelled Just A Month Before Release
In a relatively unprecedented move for a major Hollywood blockbuster, The Deathly Hallows Part 1's 3D cinema release was cancelled just a month ahead of its London premiere, with Warner commenting that, "we will not have a completed 3D version of the film within our release date window. Despite everyone's best efforts, we were unable to convert the film in its entirety and meet the highest standards of quality." While The Deathly Hallows Part 2 was in ship-shape for its 3D release, props to Warner for not comprising their integrity with a sub-par quasi-3D experience for fans: they knew they wouldn't make as much money by releasing it in 2D, but at least they kept the people lining their pockets happy.
