2. They Follow

For the better part of a decade, it simply seemed like a sequel to indie horror hit It Follows was never going to be happen, and frankly, it was just fine as a brilliantly crafted one-off.

But last Halloween, it was announced that a sequel, They Follow, was indeed happening, with writer-director David Robert Mitchell and star Maika Monroe both returning.

With the film set to shoot in 2025, a 2026 release seems all but guaranteed, and though we know basically nothing about it as of yet, the title certainly implies an Alien-to-Aliens level of scaling-up.

Given that Maika Monroe hasn't ever let us down in a horror movie, it's easy to have faith in this one.
