Taking a break from the DC/Marvel dominance for a minute, this Sci-Fi comedy and action flick remains amusing to this day - especially in light of its God-awful immediate sequel. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones were spectacular as the bizarre buddy cops, and the special effects were mind-blowing at the time.

It looked like the franchise was dead in the water after the disappointing third instalment , but the Sony e-mail leaks revealed that they may cross the characters over with the 21 Jump Street crew... somehow. Don't ask.
