20. Mowgli Vs. Shere Khan - The Jungle Book

After Shere Khan (Idris Elba) faces off against Baloo (Bill Murray), Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) and the rest of the animals, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) manages to lure the savage tiger back to the fiery forest and up a dead tree.

Though Khan gets a few solid swipes close to Mowgli, he is killed when the man-cub tricks him into leaping onto a weakened branch, causing him to fall into the fiery abyss below while Mowgli jumps clear to a makeshift rope he concocted moments earlier.

The incredible visual effects combine with Idris Elba's marvelous voice work to make this an effortlessly superior conclusion to the 1967 animated film, even if it might be a little too intense for the youngest viewers.
