What It Actually Is: Swimming With Sharks uses the brutal characteristics of one of the worlds most savage beasts to represent people. Well, one person, movie executive Buddy Ackerman. Thats right.
Its a cutting thriller from 1994, about the ruthless nature of the movie industry. Ackerman is played by Kevin Spacey like a younger version of his House Of Cards antihero, Frank Underwood. Hes THE horrible boss. A bully wholl do whatever it takes to make his latest assistant, Guy (Frank Whaley) grow a pair and start behaving like he has ambition.
