8. Sisu: Road To Revenge - The Train
0The term 'bad-ass' is oft-used, especially when discussing action cinema. Well, Sisu: Road to Revenge, by far one of the great action films of 2025, brought new meanings to that sometimes-overused phrase with its exceptional climactic sequence.
Lead-hero Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila) battles his way through a Soviet train, killing scores of enemies in one superbly-choreographed fight sequence after another. He's been horrifically tortured by Yeagor Draganov (Stephen Lang), the ruthless Soviet officer responsible for killing Korpi's family, and he's clearly in agony yet such is his desire for payback that he fights on, even walking through shards of broken glass to get to his nemesis. And he does all of this without ever saying a word - that is bad-ass.
One of the things being transported by the train is a missile on a flatbed, which Korpi ultimately uses to kill Draganov, giving this evil man an explosively satisfying end in both a literal and metaphorical sense. This is one of the coolest action movie finales in recent memory, and the many people who didn't catch this one in cinemas (much like Black Bag, this was an undeserving box office flop) are really missing out.
