16. Anakin Slaughters The Tusken Raiders (Attack Of The Clones)

The Moment: Anakin rescues his mother from a Tusken Raider camp, but she dies soon thereafter, so an enraged Anakin slaughters the entire camp in revenge.

Why It's So Ridiculous: There was a ton of potential for this scene to powerfully foreshadow Anakin's eventual turn towards the Dark Side, but it's way too sudden and rushed to have the required impact.

Plus, it's followed up by an hysterically on-the-nose scene between Anakin and Padme, where he explains to her what he's done. It's trying too hard to force Bad Anakin too quickly, and it doesn't help that Hayden Christensen can't make convincing sense of Lucas' contrived writing.
