12. The Boss Baby 2

Much like Hotel Transylvania, 2017's The Boss Baby has been a bit of a breakout animated hit.

Released to mixed reviews but netting a mighty "A-" CinemaScore, a $528 million worldwide box office haul, and even an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Film, it also went on to get its own Netflix spin-off series.

Mere weeks after the first film hit cinemas, DreamWorks confirmed that a sequel was in development, with a release date set for March 26, 2021.

Word then went relatively quiet on the project for the next two years, before director Tom McGrath was confirmed to return last summer - alongside Alec Baldwin, of course.

Though little is known about the plot or cast so far, there's no reason to believe the film won't hit that planned 2021 date.
