Dormer is a super, super talent, so it does seem quite strange that a first rate actress seemingly entering the peak of her career is somewhat limited in her film options. Dormer acted Emilia Clarke off the screen in her role as Margaery Tyrell, having the audience cheering for her in spite of the fact that she was all but a villain, her award nominations testament to this fact.

While Dormer will be joining the main cast of TV show Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, she will only have the one film release in 2020, and that is in a vocal role in the lamely titled Pets United. It does seem to say a lot about the state of Hollywood and the film industry as a whole when a phenomenal talent like Dormer is so massively under utilised.
