6. Justice League – Ciarán Hinds

In production in some form or another since 2007, the long-awaited superhero ensemble mega-fest that is Justice League will finally hit cinemas in mid-November next year. Picking up a few months after the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, the movie will see the caped crusader round up a motley crew of superheroes to defeat the threat of Steppenwolf (the DC villain, not the psychedelic 1960s band) and the Parademons.

Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will all reprise their superhero roles, alongside fellow Batman V Superman actors Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons and Jessie Eisenberg as Lois Lane, Alfred Pennyworth and Lex Luthor respectively.

Superheroes briefly shown in Batman V Superman including Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Ezra Miller as The Flash will take more prominent roles in Justice League and supervillain Steppenwolf will be played by Irish actor Ciarán Hinds, who played Harry Potter Albus Dumbledore’s brother Aberforth in the franchise’s final instalment, Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
