In Star Wars: Believe it or not, Edgerton briefly plays a young Owen Lars in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, though aside from the iconic, circle-completing moment of him receiving baby Luke at the end of ROTS, he gets incredibly little to do. The New Movie: Jeff Nichols' (Mud) first foray into sci-fi revolves around a father (Michael Shannon) who discovers that his son (Jaeden Lieberher) has supernatural abilities, and attempts to protect him from both a religious cult and government operatives. Edgerton plays a man who helps protect the boy, though not much more is known than that. Still, considering that Nichols is three-for-three as far as his movies go (with not a single one scoring less than 90% on Rotten Tomatoes), the odds are in his favour that this'll make it four.
