Karen Gillan is quickly developing a niche for herself in science fiction. The Scottish actress not only starred as Amy Pond on Doctor Who, but was unrecognizable as she took on the role of the murderous Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy. So she's definitely comfortable with the specific style of acting that is frequently seen in those types of films. But her next film, In a Valley of Violence, should prove to be a little bit more of a challenge. The film is a revenge western set in the 1890s, and will also star Ethan Hawke and Taissa Farmiga (who is best known for her work in American Horror Story, and has several other interesting films on her slate currently).
