Predicted Critical Consensus: "Though Creed II can't begin to live up to its predecessor, it nevertheless delivers a rousing, well-acted boxing movie which should entertain Rocky fans."

It's fair to say that Creed director Ryan Coogler not returning for this sequel isn't a particularly encouraging sign, but there's an undeniable appeal to Michael B. Jordan in the titular role, not to mention a plot that will involve Dolph Lundgren's Ivan Drago in some capacity.

With relative newbie director Steven Caple Jr. (The Land) helming, it's hard to expect truly great things from Creed II, but there's no reason it can't be a competent sports flick all the same.
