Sure it could be scary, epic, exhilarating too, but when the script called for comedy, Whedon was there to supply it. Who didnt burst into laughter during The Avengers when The Hulk punched Thor out of absolute nowhere? When I was there, the entire room was in pleats, at a shot that lasted all of three seconds. Its safe to say that Whedon knows funny like the back of his hand.
