11. Final Destination: Bloodlines - They Didn't Cheat Death After All
Final Destination: Bloodlines is great. It's arguably the best movie discussed on this list, and since it got so much right, it was such a shame to see it drop the ball in the last five minutes.
Namely, it uses the exact ending that most of the other Final Destination films used: the survivors think they've cheated death, only for something to go wrong in the last few moments. In this case, siblings Stefani and Charlie (Kaitlyn Santa Juana & Teo Briones) think they're in the clear because Stefani almost drowned but Charlie brought her back using CPR.
Except, as anyone with even basic medical knowledge would've been able to tell immediately, Stefani wasn't clinically dead and the revelation that they got this wrong didn't come as any sort-of shock.
In the most predictable way imaginable, both of the siblings are killed by falling logs shortly after working this out and this was such a sour way to end the movie. Not only was it the most foreseeable of endings, but this pair were a genuinely likable duo who really deserved to live, especially as they'd already been through so much loss throughout the rest of the story.
Hopefully the upcoming Final Destination 7 can stick the landing better.
