20. The Awful Product Placement - Jurassic World Rebirth
Not content to merely be a forgettable, watchable entry into the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World Rebirth opted to infuriate many viewers right from its opening scene.
The film kicks off in 2008, when InGen is running a secret dinosaur lab on the remote island of Île Saint-Hubert.
It naturally isn't long before the mutant dinosaur known as the Distortus rex escapes its enclosure, but this only happens because one of said lab's scientists decides to eat a Snickers bar mid-shift. Yup.
To elaborate, the scientist drops the chocolate bar's wrapper on the floor, where it gets sucked into a vent on one of the huge blast doors confining the Distortus rex, in turn causing it to malfunction and, for reasons that aren't really clear, banjax the entire facility.
The dinosaur then kills the scientists and escapes, and that's the incredibly dopey setup for this thunderously beige, snoozy blockbuster sequel.
Was this really the best they could come up with? Even ignoring the groan-worthy product placement of it all, it's just head-smackingly stupid.
