20 Rotten Tomatoes Predictions For 2022's Biggest Movies
20. Uncharted (53%)
It'd be foolish to have stratospheric expectations for any movie based on a video game given their track record, and that's doubly true in the case of the totally mediocre-looking Uncharted.
Nothing we've seen in the trailers suggests this is anything more than a generic, forgettable action-adventure flick bearing a vague resemblance to its inspiration, crafted less as a faithful adaptation than a star vehicle for Tom Holland.
Director Ruben Fleischer is a total wild card - though both of his Zombieland movies received critical acclaim, his three other films (30 Minutes or Less, Gangster Squad, and Venom) have been all over the map critically.
And while two of the three screenwriters co-wrote the original Iron Man, they've also got alarming credits like Punisher: War Zone, Transformers: The Last Knight, and Men in Black: International to their names.
Holland's sheer likeability and some amusingly daft action sequences will surely prevent this from getting panned - it's far more likely to divide critics between those who find it to be watchable froth and those who consider it too bland to recommend. 53% it is.
