13. "Frankly, My Dear, I Don't Give A Damn" - Gone With The Wind (1939)

With a doubt, this stands as one of the most famous lines in all of cinema, but the only true way to hear it is at the end of a long viewing of Gone With The Wind, in context, having witnessed the turbulent and ever frustrating relationship shared between Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara for the sum of the movie. After all the sh*t that Scarlett has pulled throughout the entirety of the movie, it's so darn satisfying to here Rhett tell her how it is. As he charges out of the house towards the exist, Scarlett pursues, desperate for him to stay. "Rhett! Rhett! If you go, where shall I go... what shall I do?" With a perfect weighed expression of "I don't give a sh*t" on his face, Rhett turns to her and utters the immortal line: "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

12. George McFly Whacks Biff - Back to the Future (1985)

25 years since it was first released, and Back to the Future still stands as pretty much the only movie which successfully blended about eight genres into one and got away with it. Yes, the story of teenager Marty McFly and his trip back to the 1950s has managed to resonate with just about everybody who's watched it, and it remains one of the all-time great motion pictures on sheer likeablity alone. As Marty attempts to rekindle his parents' romance before he's erased from existence, bully Biff Tannen is the douchebag causing an all manner of problems. It's at this moment, during the climatic prom scene, then, that an on-screen punch has never been so inherently satisfying - Marty's dad, the nerdy George McFly, finally stands up for himself (and Marty's mom) and delivers and almighty punch to Biff's chops. It's simply glorious to watch.
