Another dead before they were famous story. Much like Kevin Bacon, Johnny Depp made his big screen debut as a fresh faced, good looking kid, in Wes Cravens original Nightmare Before Elm Street. Unlike Bacon, Depp made it most of the way through the film before being taken by Freddie. In the scene, Depp has been desperately trying not to fall asleep but eventually passes out. He is sucked into his bed, through the matress and into a hole below. Moments later, blood spews from the hole like a volcano erupting and covers the entire ceiling.
14. Robocop Peter Weller
Maybe this is a slightly contentious entry, as its not exactly a death. However, I like to consider that the birth of Robocop comes as a result of Murphy being brutally murdered; thus Robocop is a robotic reincarnation of a man. Weller (Murphy) is cornered by Kurtwood Smiths gang. They hold him on the floor and Smith waves his gun from head to stomach, before settling on Wellers hand and blows it clean from his hand. As the gang laugh hysterically, Weller, fighting the pain with shock gets to his feet. All four of the gang line up, raise their shotguns and proceed to unload on him. His limbs are one by one blown off and his bulletproof vest blitzed. When hes back on the ground Kurtwood puts a shell in his head and blood and gore fly.
