With everyone clambering to release their best-of lists for 2014's movies, isn't it always fun to check out those movies that went completely the other way, and left film fans the world over unable to believe what they'd just seen? The viewing of terrible movies is a culture in of itself these days, what with the Razzie Awards essentially acting as "the Oscars of bad cinema", and like any other year, 2014 has served up a fine platter of awful films that you'll either regret viewing, or find hysterical through ironic (and possibly drunk) watching. The year has seen massively unnecessary sequels, both straight-to-video and clogging up multiplexes, reboots nobody wanted (but they made anyway), lame genre films with zero effort put in, and even a movie adapted from an Internet meme of all things. Whether these movies made serious bank or not (and thankfully, a lot of them didn't), each represents the very worst that Hollywood and cinema as a whole can offer up: mindless "entertainment" that's pretty much anything but. As such, you shouldn't be surprised to see a good number of these movies show up in the Razzies next year, though given how they tend to attack just what's popular and in vogue, they often miss a lot of the more "minor" bad movies which perhaps went straight to DVD or VOD. Here, however, there's no such problem: combed from almost every significant and insignificant release this year, here are 20 terrible 2014 movies that should never have happened...
