Rotten Tomatoes Score: 3% Aaron Eckhart's considerable talents are totally squandered in this mind-bogglingly dumb graphical novel adaptation, which is clearly more interested in explosions and elaborate visual effects than in characters or telling a compelling story. With awful dialogue and the brilliant Bill Nighy being the most notable supporting cast tragedy, the movie just isn't as much fun as it should have been. The mythology takes itself so seriously, which with material this absurd and a Razzie-worthy villainous performance from Jai Courtney, simply isn't the right approach: had it reveled in its silliness, then none of this would have mattered all that much. As a result, the movie was both a critical and commercial dud.
