11. Will Shortz Created The Riddler's Riddles

The Riddler taunts Batman throughout the film, mailing him riddles that inevitably lead to his true identity. Jim Carrey figured out that Einhorn was a man because a dog sat on a magazine in Ace Ventura, but cut Jim Carrey's hair and dye it red and the world's greatest detective needs to Sherlock it.

But the riddles themselves were actually quite complex - dare say, clever, and that's no accident. They were written and designed by Will Shortz, creator of the New York Times crossword puzzle.
