11. It Has The Series' Biggest Body Count

In addition to being the bloodiest of the Die Hard films, the second movie also touts by far the biggest body count - bigger than the other four put together, in fact.

Die Hard 2 wins this dubious honour alone through the unforgettable scene where Colonel Stuart forces a British airliner to crash, killing 230 passengers and crew.

And because that's apparently not enough, more than 40 other people are killed over the course of the film, a decent bulk of them by McClane himself.

By comparison, the other four films have body counts of "just" 23, 16, 31, and 33 respectively.
