14. The Cult's "She Sells Sanctuary" Was Only Supposed To Be Used As A Temp Track

In one of the movie's opening scenes, XXXX and Morty (George Harris) drive to see Jimmy Price (Kenneth Cranham) while The Cult's legendary pop hit "She Sells Sanctuary" gloriously blares out.

Despite seeming like the most perfect choice for that scene, the song was originally only inserted as a temporary placeholder track until something "better" was found.

In the end, Vaughn liked the song's inclusion enough that he decided to keep it in the final cut of the movie. It was a win-win for all involved, basically, because it's an absolute banger of a tune.
