14. Peter Stormare Was Originally Going To Be Cast In The Film

Peter Stormare is one of the brothers' favourite collaborators, and has appeared both in Fargo, and The Big Lebowski.

And, originally, Stormare was supposed to be featured in Miller's Crossing in a role called “The Swede”. Due to Stormare being unavailable (as he was cast in a rendition of Hamlet), the role was re-written as “The Dane”, and the role went to J.E. Freeman.
