20 Things You Didn't Know About Netflix

12. Someone Sued Them Because Of A Minor Price Hike

Like most major corporations, Netflix has been subject to more than a few lawsuits over the years, from false advertising claims to accessibility issues.

However, the weirdest case levelled at the company arrived in 2016, when subscriber George Keritsis filed a proposed class-action lawsuit stating that the price of his subscription had been wrongfully raised.

Keritsis said that he was promised a "lifetime guarantee" that the price would remain at $7.99 per month, just as long as he didn't pause or suspend his subscription. The lawsuit claimed that Netflix had breached this agreement when they began raising the price of the standard HD plan to $9.99 per month instead.

A bit of a drastic measure to take for just $2, don't you think?
