8. Heather's Cousin Wrote A Book Series

To continue the momentum and buzz around the whole reality of The Blair Witch Project, the cousin of Heather Donahue was determined to unearth the truth around the disappearance of Heather, Mike and Josh.

That cousin is Cade Merill, who originally created www.theblairwitchfiles.com and then developed an eight-novel book series known as The Blair Witch Files.

Of course, Cade Merill is a fictional character – much like the fictional disappearance of Heather Donahue – yet the book series is indeed very real, which dives deeper on the myth of the Blair Witch. For the website, however, that’s no longer active.

Cade is also the cousin of James Donahue - Heather's brother who was the focus of 2016's awful relaunch for the franchise, which was simply titled Blair Witch.
