Later this summer Tom Hanks will be able to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his first on screen appearance. That's some going for any actor, but Hanks has stayed at the top of his game for almost the entire time. He's an unchallengeable A-lister and Hollywood royalty.

After 40 years of entertaining masses of people for masses of money, you will be hard-pressed to find anyone that has done it better. Born on July 9th, 1956, Hanks is a distant relative of Abraham Lincoln, Walt Disney, George Clooney, Fred Rogers (aka Mr. Rogers), and Bill Cosby's wife Camille.

And so far, he has played three of them; Fred Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019), Walt Disney in Saving Mr. Banks (2013), and Abraham Lincoln in Freedom: A History of US (2003).
