After the crew wakes from Hypersleep, Lambert reports that they've done so "just short of Zeta 2 Reticuli". As well as sounding cool, this is actually a real binary star system in the southern constellation of Reticulum, approximately some 40 light-years from where you're sitting right now. Give or take.

The system has come up before though, as it was famously the location that Barney and Betty Hill - America's first famous case of alleged UFO abduction - claimed to have encountered beings from. The Hills, whose story was adapted into the 1966 book The Interrupted Journey and the 1975 television movie The UFO Incident, survived their incident.
