Likely to be one of the weirdest mainstream releases of 2019, this live-action Dora the Explorer movie adds a decade onto Dora's age by casting the 17-year-old Isabela Moner in the role, prompting some commenters to joke that this big-screen version looks more like a porn parody than an actual official movie.

The fact that James Bobin (The Muppets) is directing at least provides some hope it might strike the right self-aware tone, and if nothing else, the ultra-reliable Michael Peña should be plenty of fun as Dora's father.

Sure, the character probably won't hold a candle to the quick-witted hilarity of Peña's Luis, but honestly, who does?
