13. Leonardo DiCaprio & Christian Bale - Roles Unknown (Heat 2)

A whole host of impressive names have been linked to Michael Mann's upcoming Heat sequel over the last few years, including Adam Driver, Austin Butler, and Ana de Armas.

But recently two more names were confirmed to be circling major roles, and they're by far the most exciting and high-profile A-listers to be even remotely involved with the project.

If the talks pan out, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale will co-star in Heat 2, which sounds like a dream scenario for everyone from casual moviegoers to card-carrying cinephiles.

Living up to the original film and its immortal pairing of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro seems just about impossible, even with Mann's Heat 2 novel being widely acclaimed, but pitting DiCaprio against Bale honestly oughta do it.

We still have no idea which role each actor is targeting, but frankly it doesn't really matter - the potential for this to be an all-timer cinematic face-off is off the charts.
