This Clive Barker adaptation isn't particularly well remembered by critics, but for a generation of impressionable audiences, it became a source of endless nightmares - the urban legend of "say his name three times in the mirror and he'll appear" especially being responsible for countless, ironically sleepless sleepovers. Some of the most disturbing images involved the swarms of bees that flew out of the eponymous monster's mouth, and you know how they did that? They stuck a bunch of angry bees in Tony Todd's mouth. And all over Virginia Masden, one of his victims, who has a lethal allergy to bee stings!
