4. The Open House
Unquestionably the worst Netflix Original of 2018 to date, The Open House attempts to be a stirring mother-son drama and also a more conventional haunted house movie, yet ultimately succeeds as neither.

The talented Dylan Minnette and Piercey Dalton are utterly wasted in a horror film devoid almost entirely of atmosphere, failing to build up to anything fun, scary or even functionally competent as a piece of filmmaking.
Even at just 94 minutes in length it feels excruciatingly long, and a rarest of efforts that can't even settle for being generic tosh. Awful.

Worst Moment: The hilariously abrupt ending, where protagonist Logan (Minnette) is nonchalantly strangled to death by the killer. The end.
