13. Pressure

Anthony Maras' new war drama Pressure is so exceptionally crafted, and so impeccably acted by Andrew Scott in particular, that it's able to overcome the egregious miscasting of Brendan Fraser in the role of Dwight D. Eisenhower - something many pointed to the moment the film's first trailer dropped.

And while this adaptation of David Haig's acclaimed play touted some initial awards buzz, that quickly fizzled when the $30 million drama took the #7 spot during its opening weekend at the North American box office and never recovered, ultimately barely cracking $20 million worldwide.

A big part of the problem is that Pressure is far more dialogue-centric than it is action-packed, and with the drama centering around a weather forecast of all things, it was simply all too easy for audiences to save it for a small screen viewing at home.

While Oscar plaudits are likely to elude it, at least there's a solid chance that Pressure performs well on streaming with older audiences craving serious-minded historical drama.
