2. The Young People

The Young People is the new film from Oz Perkins, and given the utterly singular, continually surprising nature of his previous horror films - namely The Blackcoat's Daughter, Longlegs, The Monkey, and Keeper - why expect any different here?

True to form, Perkins is keeping plot details firmly under wraps for now, but upon announcing the project last year he did provide a sneaky look at a page of the script, which makes reference to "The Old Ones."

Given that H.P. Lovecraft's writings are filled with references to ancient, eldritch beings known as the Old Ones, it's a distinct possibility that The Young People will be Perkins' first foray into Lovecraftian horror territory, which frankly sounds incredible.

Alternatively, this could be a cheeky misdirect on Perkins' part, and it's entirely possible it's actually about a cult of old people who want to drain the young folk of their vitality. 

Though, honestly, that's a bit of a trite premise for a Perkins film. Either way, expect the unexpected.
