7. Robert Pattinson - Dune: Part Three

The most attention-grabbing casting addition to Dune: Part Three is surely Robert Pattinson, who was recently confirmed to be playing Scytale, the sequel's central antagonist who hatches a plan to dethrone Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet).

In the novel Dune Messiah on which the threequel is based, Scytale is a shapeshifting master of deception, though we can assume that Scytale will take Pattinson's form for most of the movie.

Pattinson has continued to take adventurous and unexpected roles in his post-Twilight career, and between this and his role as Antinous in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, it'll be neat to see him enter his villain era.

Pattinson is skilled at playing complex characters who have more to them than meets the eye - quite literally in the case of Scytale - and so it should be a blast to watch him go head-to-head with Chalamet, another young star at the top of his game right now.
