3. Bill Skarsgård - Lords of War

Lords of War is the recently-wrapped sequel to Lord of War - the 2005 Nicolas Cage-starring crime drama which, while a box office flop, has endured as something of a cult classic over the last two decades.

And in addition to Cage reprising his role as infamous arms dealer Yuri Orlov, Bill Skarsgård will co-star as his estranged son Anton.

In a fun wrinkle, Anton wants to top his father's empire by building an army of mercenaries to take part in America's military adventures in the Middle East.

Over the years, Skarsgård has shown himself to be uniquely skilled at portraying egomaniacal monsters, and so this is absolutely a role that speaks to his strengths. 

His magnetic screen presence, combined with his aptitude for digging deep into his characters, should serve him well here.

But above all else, it should be an absolute blast to see him play opposite Cage in what might be the year's most deeply twisted father-son pairing.
