20. Hugh Jackman - The Death of Robin Hood

Just when you thought you couldn't bear to sit through yet another Robin Hood film, out comes a new adaptation that genuinely seems like a fresh take on the legend.

The Death of Robin Hood stars Hugh Jackman as the mythic outlaw archer, depicted here as an older man who reflects on a past filled with theft and murder while being nursed back to health by a mysterious woman (Jodie Comer).

The moment the trailer dropped, many immediately compared the film to Logan, and with good reason, given that the plot seems to involve Robin atoning for his past sins by saving a young girl.

Jackman can play grizzled with the best of them, and taking one look at his Old Man Robin, it's easy to picture an entire history of dubious "heroism" behind him.

Plus, with rising filmmaker Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One) writing and directing, Jackman's likely going to have some solidly meaty material to sink his teeth into.
