20 Recent Movie Rumours That Were Total BULL

8. The Kalisk Is A Xenomorph - Predator: Badlands

The Rumour:

Predator: Badlands rather boldly sought to unite the Predator and Alien universes, given that the two central characters are a Predator, Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), and a Weyland-Yutani android, Thia (Elle Fanning).

However, some thought that director Dan Trachtenberg might go one step further, and that the film's mythic, monstrous villain known as the Kalisk might eventually be revealed to actually be a xenomorph.

The Truth:

It's easy to see why so many fans expected this, especially with Trachtenberg expressing his fondness for the Alien vs. Predator concept, but ultimately the Kalisk is a massive alien creature that's entirely new to both the Predator and Alien franchises.

It's probably just as well, honestly, because tossing a xenomorph into the mix might've thrown everything off-balance and risked feeling like a step too far in the direction of craven fan service.

All the same, we can hope that Trachtenberg might get to an AvP movie one day.
