20. Cemetery Man
The mid-90s was a weird time for a lot of genre movies - especially when it came to a zombie movie, but at least the Cemetery Man is a welcome change of pace, as it tries to have its own identity and somewhat plays around with the zombie genre.
Starting off just as any old zombie movie would, this very quickly shifts into a quirky Italian movie that almost feels as if it was drawing from the Evil Dead at times. Certain scenes seem to just come out of nowhere and some characters are just ridiculous. Cemetary Man commands the viewer’s attention and punishes them for not keeping up.
At heart, this is trying to be a true work of art, but some will probably never get past its trappings in the zombie genre. Then again half of this movie does seem to focus around the main protagonist's small penis, so what do I even know.
