The New York Ripper is one of only a few films of its kind to still not be granted a full, uncut release in the UK, such is its graphic depiction of sexual violence.

After a series of killings on the streets of New York, the state news declare that the city is being terrorised by a serial killer with an extreme hatred for women. Using the killer's motives as justification for his acts, audiences are subjected to multiple scenes featuring disembowelment, eye mutilation and nipple slicing. Not for the squeamish.
