Obviously, the Dark Lord needed to be somewhere pretty close to the bottom on this list; he is, after all, the most well documented terrible person in the history of the wizarding world. He's an ever-present malevolent shadow that hangs over all of the films, and everyone is just waiting around on tenterhooks for the eventual epic showdown. But when it finally comes, we're not met with a sense of glee, like when Bellatrix eats it; there's really just a pervasive feeling of relief and finality. It's over, he's actually dead, and not, like, pretend dead like last time. Actual dead, complete with (depending on whether you read the book the watch the movie) either a rapidly decomposing corpse or an explosion of dry skin flakes.
