Philip Noyce knows how to craft a solid thriller (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger), even if his track record is a little patchy.

He should be a safe pair of hands for this though, which is based on the true story of a newly married FBI poster boy assigned to an Appalachian mountain town in Kentucky. There, he becomes involved in an affair with a local woman who is his star informant, and ends up leading to a huge FBI scandal.

Jack Huston and Emilia Clarke make for likeable leads, if ones whose non-HBO roles haven't also been chosen wisely.
