11. Pilgrimage (Jon Bernthal)

Continuing Jon Bernthal's broad range of different roles this year is Pilgrimage, the second film starring a Spider-Man actor as a monk in the past few months. This time it's Tom Holland who pulls on robes for this story of a group of monks in 13th century Ireland who must escort a sacred relic across an Irish landscape fraught with peril.

Alongside him are the likes of Richard Armitage (who we know likes quest movies), the excellent John Lynch and Bernthal playing a mute, which will represent a wholly new acting experience for him. Think Fury meets a religious Saving Private Ryan, by the sound of it with lots and lots of mud.
