A Canadian actor who appeared in multiple British productions, Bruce Boa played General Carlist Rieekan in The Empire Strikes Back. Throughout his career, he also appeared in Full Metal Jacket, Octopussy, The Omen, and on television, The Avengers, The Saint, Road to Avonlea, and many others productions. The Empire Strikes Back, of course, along with the Bond film Octopussy, remained his two highest-profile credits. Boa died of cancer in 2004 at the age of 73.
