This may come as a bit of a surprise given the film struggled domestically, but Die Hard with a Vengeance ended its theatrical run as the highest grossing film of 1995, grossing a total of $366.1 million against a $90 million budget.

The previous entry, Die Hard 2: Die Harder, had grossed a combined $240.2 million globally, which in itself was seen as a major achievement at the time.

With a Vengeance remained the highest grossing entry in the series until the release of Live Free or Die Hard in 2007, which achieved $388.1 million at the box office globally.
