9. Duke Of Deception

While the film initially goes some way to trying to feed us the lie that General Erich Ludendorff is in fact Ares, it turns out that it's David Thewlis' Sir Patrick who is the Godly villain.

In reality, Danny Huston's character is based on DC Comics character the Duke Of Deception, who works for Ares in the comics, and who lived up to his title by deceiving Diana into thinking he's Ares himself. Unlike the comics, though, he's not a real demi-God.
