16. Characters Frequently Disappear For Long Periods
One of the weirder aspects of F4 is just how often characters appear and then perform vanishing acts for lengthy periods of time. Here's a few examples: Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) spends a few scenes with Reed at the start and then completely exits the movie for roughly countless scenes before re-appearing. Then later on, after the gang have been transformed, Reed escapes and disappears for a while. And, of course, after his accident, Doom spends a whole half hour completely off-screen. It's almost enough to make you think that the production couldn't schedule the actors to be together often enough or something; because seeing the foursome share the screen ahead of the final sequence is very rare.
