Many heads were turned when the orange lava from Planet Zero in earlier trailers was suddenly changed to green, and though it does make more sense in the final cut (given that Doom is partly green), the actual visual realisation of this green matter is just horrible. When it's splashing around as Victor falls from a cliff edge and the rest of the team race to avoid it, the screen becomes filled with a green blur that makes it difficult to figure out quite what's going on. Given how iconic and pivotal the scene is supposed to be, it's extremely annoying.
