7. The Thing Gets Weaponised & Kills For The Government
In the year that occurs off-screen, Thing now works as a hired gun for the government, as shown in file footage of him hurling tanks and causing "43 confirmed kills" on enemy combatants, the implication being that he's doing this in exchange for research for a cure to his condition. While in a way using Thing makes a lot of sense for military applications, it's still pretty damn weird to see a superhero who isn't Dr. Manhattan being sent out into a war zone to kill anyone other than the unambiguous badness of, say, Doom.
